If God is leading you into a life or season of missions awareness and response, we would invite you to consider working with us. We have a deep appreciation for summer missions people and are always in need for such volunteers to work with our program. The ministry assignments are in campgrounds, international employees, the Parkway, special events, and theme parks. The work includes worship leadership, day camps, creative arts and music performance, and lots of personal ministry time. There is great emphasis on personal Christian growth and an understanding of the work of the Church as experienced in an intentional community.

There are several roles that you can have on staff:
Summer missionaries are assigned through the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and various state Baptist conventions. These volunteers are college or graduate school students. They have their transportation paid and earn about $600.00 for the summer. We can work with you in facilitating such an appointment.

Innovators are selected by us and assigned through NAMB. They are college students and perform a double work for the summer. Innovators get secular jobs in our setting and earn a regular salary. In addition to the forty hours they work, they
also put in about twenty hours of ministry time. They must pay their own transportation and housing/food ($175.00/month). We assist them in finding jobs and most leave with about $600.00 at the end of the summer.

sunset250Sojourners are selected by us and assigned through NAMB. Sojourners have finished their Junior or Senior year of High School. They have their transportation paid and do not receive any summer salary. Again, we select our own Sojourners.

Art Holloway Missions Scholarship recipients are selected by us and receive a stipend of $500.00. These volunteers can be in high school or college. They are assigned through NAMB which provides for transportation.

Missionary Apprentices are high school students (8-12 grade) who come for a one week missions experience with our staff. They are selected by us with the intention of preparing for future staff roles. They provide their own transportation and receive no pay.

House parents are adult volunteers who come for a week or two during the summer to cook for and supervise the other staff. They are selected by us.

All of our volunteers receive a basic health insurance for their term of service through NAMB.

laconte250We have a large dormitory with house parents that provide wonderful meals and promote a healthy Christian family setting.

Our summer staff program runs for the entire summer.

We would be very interested in talking with you about your working with us. Please contact us if you have more questions or need help with the application process.
